opening weekend

we opened the cottage this past weekend, or at least started. it was a dusty undertaking but we were hard core and actually emptied rooms, washed floors, washed windows, collected items to be taken to the 'sally ann', and rearranged furniture. it was very satisfying!
of course the whole time i was making my lists of what i need - cushions here, new doormat here, throw mat here...

so i want to wish all cottagers (and their lucky guests) a happy opening weekend whenever that happens for you and come on by to see us at Garden Cottage to pick up your new doormats. you may also fall in love with a beautiful bright tablecloth with matching napkins and cushions to brighten up the whole space. hey if the sun isn't going to come out at least the inside should be bright and cheery!!
